Cynthia shared the information about the main Interact District projects past and present. Last year the club donated $6k to the LN-4 hands project. We also heard about the local organizations that the club helps with everything from doing inventories of their donations to working the people that the organization serves. In addition, the Interact club has several grammar school events where they go to first and second grade rooms and help the teachers with reading and other interesting activities. The young kids really enjoy the excellent role models presented by the Interact members (and so do the teachers). Cynthia closed her presentation by having the two VPs: Jessica and Stephanie give a summary of their involvement in the club. Then Luke told about the webmaster responsibilities and how he is also responsible for the District website. Eric Mai told us about his involvement and what he is looking forward to this year. Great presentation
President Tracy shows Cynthia the book that is presented to a grammar school library in her honor Today’s Lottery Winner: Gary B won the raffle and drew a cats-eye marble so he went home with a bottle of wine. Next week the pot is $70. Thought for Week: I feel that the greatest reward for doing is the opportunity to do more. --Jonas Salk
